Bathroom remodel project and steam shower installation located in Longmont, Co Today's modern bathroom design utilizes large format porcelain tile throughout the bathroom remodeling project. and the porcelain tiles keep getting larger and larger. (I'll be blogging about that in my next upcoming project).

There was a traditional master bathroom shower/tub combo in place and the homeowners wanted to get rid of the framed-in tub and expand the shower front to back and side to side. The bathroom features all porcelain tile installation with quartzite on top of the shower bench, shelf, and vanity.

Also included in the project is under-tile heating from Schluter with Ditra mats for wiring.

The steam generator is housed inside the shower bench with a tile access panel facing the new tub. The steam shower includes the Schluter in-line shower drain making it possible for the large porcelain tile to be from the bathroom floor into the shower. The shower cover is tileable making the drain virtually invisible.

As always the shower pan is cement poured and includes a Schluter/Kerdi waterproofing membrane.
